Obituary: Marsha Zumbach admin Marsha A. Zumbach of Katonah, NY formally of Thornwood, NY died peacefully on Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 surrounded by her family. She passed quickly and quietly after a valiant fight against leukemia this past year. Marsha was born on June 2nd, 1949 in Mt. Kisco and grew up in Thornwood, NY. She is the daughter of the late Harry Saglibene and Nita {Clark} Saglibene. She graduated in 1967 from Westlake High School. She was a graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She received her masters in administration from Fordham University. With extensive graduate credits, she was certified in elementary, secondary education and administration. In Marsha’s thirty-year career as an educator, she taught art, was chairman of the art and music department and finished as an Assistant Superintendent of the Mt. Pleasant School District for Curriculum and Technology. She was a NYS Humanities award winner. She is the beloved wife of John Zumbach for 48 years and the loving mother of Beth Llanos of Katonah, NY, John Zumbach of Holderness, NH and Scott Zumbach of Hampton, NH. She is a devoted grandmother of eight grandchildren; Adam Llanos, Jake Llanos, Ryan Zumbach, Dylan Zumbach, Allie Zumbach, Louis Zumbach, Brooks Zumbach and Wade Zumbach. Marsha is the sister of Carolyn Tobin of Brewster NY and Jeff Saglibene of Thornwood, NY and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marsha loved to paint, garden, cook, travel, visit museums and go to the theater. She always looked forward to a day in New York City with friends and has been a member of the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art for many years. Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home at 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Thursday, February 1st from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s RC Church at 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY on February 2nd at 10am.
