Obituary of Denise Marie Ferrara

Ferrara, Denise Marie, age 52, formerly of Valley Cottage, Rockland County, lived in the town of Somers for 14 yrs. She passed on 2/17/17 at Northern Westchester Hospital of brain cancer. Denise was born on 3/30/64 in Yonkers NY. After St. Paul’s Elem. , she attended Nyack HS. She received a BS degree in Math at the Univ. of Albany. Upon graduation she worked for J.C Penney Corp. Hqtrs, in NYC. When they moved to Texas, she worked for Elizabeth Arden and eventually ended up in Wells Fargo Bank. She loved gardening, flowers and traveling. She was a Sunday school teacher for St. Joseph’s in Somers. She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Patricia Moynihan, her brother Michael his wife Linda Moynihan and her children Michael age 20 and Caroline Ferrara age 17. She will be eternally loved and dearly missed. Her family will receive friends on Monday, February 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 21st at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY
