Obituary of Michael Grobarcik

Michael Grobarcik, 66, of Danbury CT, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his home. Michael is survived by his wife Erika of 41 years, sons: Michael, Jeffrey and Steven and his fiancé Nikki Penirelli, sister: Debra Eiermann and husband Thomas, granddaughter: Charlotte and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Michael was born on October 28, 1950 to Charles and Virginia Grobarcik in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1971. On November 29, 1975, he married Erika Schauer in Bronx, NY. Michael and Erika lived in North Salem NY for over 20 years where they raised their 3 sons. He worked at the same company, Halcyon Construction as a Civil Engineer for 34 years. Michael enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bears. In his free time, Mike loved spending time at home with his loving wife Erika and surrounded by family. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 11 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 12 at 10:30AM at St Elizabeth Seton RC Church, 520 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield, CT 06877. Michael will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
