Obituary of Eileen Patricia Guiney

Guiney, Eileen Patricia (Barry) of Somers, NY formally of Mahopac and the Bronx on September 12, 2017 lost her battle to cancer after giving it a good Bronx fight. She was 80. Born November 21, 1936 to Dennis and Brigid Barry (O’Connell) she was raised and educated in St. Luke’s Parish in the Bronx and graduated from Cathedral High School. She was a retired Regional Sales Representative for Hallmark Greeting Cards and a four-time recipient of the R.B. Hall Award for sales excellence. She is predeceased in death by her beloved husband Daniel J. Guiney whom she married on October 12, 1963 at St. Brendan’s Church in the Bronx NY. She is survived by her loving daughters Kerry (Paul) Feeney, Eileen (Eric) Berglund, Patrice (George) Graham, and Sheila (Steve) Borgelt and her grandchildren Daniel and Jacqueline Borgelt, Julia and Aidan Feeney, Jake Graham and Meghan Berglund. Also survived by her godchildren Kevin (Roisin) Barry and Kathy Campbell and her brother Denis (Rita) Barry and sister Maureen Barry, nieces Denise (Jessie) Goedecke and Danielle Barry, many great nieces and nephews and a beautiful group of friends. Predeceased by her parents, sister Kathleen and sister in-law Anna Barrett. The family will receive friends on Thursday September 14,2017 at CLARK ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, 4 Woods Bridge Rd, KATONAH NY from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Church, Somers NY Friday September 15, 2017 at 11:30 AM Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Somers, NY.
