Obituary of Flora A. Marchigiani

Flora A. Marchigiani, of Bedford Hills, NY, died peacefully at home on August 24, 2017. Flora was born on April 5, 1923 in Bedford Hills, NY to Angelo and Frances Marchigiani Flora was employed by IBM as an executive secretary for 25 years. She was an active member of the Bedford Hills Woman’s Club and the Westchester County Federation of Women’s Clubs. In April of this year, Flora received the Federation’s “Woman of the Year” award, in part for her tireless fundraising efforts for their scholarship fund. On Sundays, Flora enjoyed meeting with her dear friends for coffee and sharing of “current events”. Her faith and love of family sustained her in her final years. Flora is survived by her sister, Marie J. Murray of Schenectady, NY and also several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 27th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 28th at 10am at St. Mary Of The Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Lexington Avenue, Mount Kisco, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bedford Hills Woman’s Club, Inc.
