Obituary of John Joseph Nevins

John “Jack” Joseph Nevins, 86, a resident of Goldens Bridge, NY, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at Waterview Hills. Jack was born in the Bronx on June 8, 1931, to the late John Joseph and Mildred Nevins. He was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School, class of 1948. Jack worked in the publishing industry, and he was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as Grand Knight and District Deputy. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Millie Nevins; his children, John Nevins and Carol Nilsson; and his grandsons, Matthew, Mark and Eric Nilsson. Jack was predeceased by his sister, Matilda Pontillo. His family will receive friends on Monday, June 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 20th at 11:30 am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY
