Obituary of SALVATORE AIELLO

AIELLO, SALVATORE (Sal), 82, a Katonah resident of over 50 years, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016. Sal was born on January 20, 1933 in the Bronx, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Aiello. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Malach), devoted father of Lisa (James), son Bruce, loving uncle of Joseph and Michael (Kimberly), Maria Giordano and late Anthony Giordano, great nieces and nephew Lauren, Catherine and Michael. Sal was a Structural Engineer at Chas. H. Sells for 42 years, where he met his wife Kathy. He was a lifelong Yankee fan, enjoyed all sports and played softball and golf. He was always the life of the party. Sal served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 in Alaska. Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah NY on Wednesday January 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s RC Church, 117 Valley Rd, Katonah NY on January 14th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave, Hawthorne NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or the American Stroke Association
