Obituary of Kathleen Humen

Kathleen Boyle Humen of Somers, NY, died Thursday, April 26th, 2018 at Calvary Hospital.

Kathy was born on April 2, 1953 in Manhattan, NY to the late Hubert and Margaret (Mangan) Boyle. She lived in Somers, NY for 28 years.

Kathy was a graduate of Pace University, receiving a BBA in Accounting, and NYU, receiving her MBA. She worked as an accountant for the IRS, where she was recently honored for her 25 years of proud service. She also served as a professor at Mercy College and Pace University.

Kathy is the beloved mother of Patricia Lewis of Somers, NY, Edmund Humen of Stamford, CT, Christine Humen of Mt. Kisco, NY, and her grandson who she adored, Preston Lewis. She is survived by her sister, Deirdre Boyle of New York, NY. Kathy will be lovingly remembered for her generous heart, her selfless devotion to her family, her radiant smile and beautiful soul. She cherished time with her family and friends, her passion of knitting, and sharing stories and memories.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah, NY on Thursday, May 3rd from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s RC Church, 137 Moseman Rd, Yorktown Heights NY on Friday, May 4th at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave, Hawthorne NY.
