Obituary of Virginia J. Allison-Novotny

Allison-Novotny, Virginia J., (Ginny) of Somers, NY formerly of Yonkers, NY died Friday, May 11th at Westchester Medical Center.  Ginny was born on March 31st, 1948 in Yonkers, NY to the late Gwendolyn and Vincent Ruyack. 

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers and the Fashion Institute in NYC.  She worked for many years as an Executive Assistant for Starwood Hotels in White Plains, NY and Stamford, CT. 

Ginny is the beloved wife of Michael S. Novotny and is the loving mother of Darren Allison of Goldens Bridge, NY.  In addition to her son, Ginny leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Eira Allison, granddaughter, Giselle and brother, Stephen Ruyack of Georgia.  Ginny is also survived by relatives and friends who dearly miss her cheerful spirit and love.

In 2017, she was honored as the person of the year by Support Connection – a cancer support group located in Yorktown Heights.

Friends may call for a memorial service being held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Thursday, May 17th between the hours of 7pm-9pm. 

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Support Connection, Yorktown Heights, NY at www.supportconnection.org.
