Obituary of Thomas Moravick

Thomas Moravick, a longtime resident of Bedford Hills, NY passed away on May 11 from cancer. He was 67 years old.

Tom traveled to France several times during his teens, once as an exchange student. He graduated from Fox Lane High School in Bedford in 1969, earned a Bachelor’s Degree at the State Teachers College at New Paltz, known today as SUNY New Paltz, and a Master’s Degree in education from Mercy College.

He became an elementary school teacher in the New York City school system, retiring from that career in 2013. Tom enjoyed gardening and was a deeply prayerful and spiritual person who studied Christian and Jewish religious traditions.

Tom was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Mary (Kennedy) Moravick. He is survived by his brother Robert, of Seminole, FL, and several cousins, aunts, uncles and their families.

A celebration of Tom’s life will take place at a memorial service at 10:30 am on Friday, May 25 at the United Methodist Church of Mount Kisco, NY. Following the service, interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mount Kisco.
