Obituary of Gloria Morreale

Gloria Morreale of Palm City, Florida, former resident of Somers, NY and Brooklyn, NY died on July 5, 2018 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Palm City, FL at the age of 88. She was born October 18, 1929 in Brooklyn to Michael and Louise (Delia) Saponara. Gloria was one of eleven children.

Gloria will be remembered as someone who loved to cook, garden and bake.  She always enjoyed hosting family and friends and preparing elaborate meals. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make jokes. Knowing Gloria, her final joke would have been that at least she went out with a bang after the July 4th  holiday.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Linda Morreale (Mount Kisco, NY); son Peter Morreale (Weston, FL); grandchildren Michael (Ashley) Stolz and Matthew (Sarah) Stolz; and her great granddaughters Tiffany and Isabella.

Gloria is reunited with her loving husband Joseph who passed in 2003, she was also predeceased by her daughters Barbara Morreale Heller in 1995, Maryann Stolz in 2015, and her grandson Stephen E. Stolz, in 1984.

Calling hours will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 3 to 8pm.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10am at St. Joseph's RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY 10589.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Route 202, Somers, NY.
