Obituary of Jules S Quatannens

Jules S Quatannens of North Salem, NY passed away peacefully on June 21,2019 in the home he built for his family.

Born in Port Chester, NY on October 29, 1939, Jules grew up in Rye, NY, the son of Louis and Eva, and brother of Stephen and Constance. He graduated from Rye High School in 1957 and went on to serve in the US Air Force from 1958 to 1963.  He was co-owner of Lettra Graphics Inc., Pleasantville, NY. 

Jules was a special man of so many talents,  the most impressive being his ability to make us all laugh. Constantly.  He was an artist and a craftsman, restoring vintage Chevys, creating and repairing anything imaginable with his bare hands. He loved the oceans and their tall ships, World War II airplanes and the history of this wonderful world.  He loved his friends and gosh did those friends love him back. We will all miss his integrity, tireless work and unwavering kindness.

Jules was the beloved husband of Gale; cherished father of Gregory, Christy, Michael and his wife Yoshie; loving grandfather to Tannen, Luke, Dean, Salvio, Erika, and Hiro. 

Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at 11:30 AM at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Somers, NY.  Interment will follow at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Somers, NY.
