Obituary of Marilyn L. Beneventano

Marilyn L. Beneventano, 89, of Katonah, NY, formerly of Mamaroneck, died peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2019 at The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Marilyn was born on February 10, 1930 in Elmira, NY to the late Valencia and Harry Rarrick. She was raised in Corning, NY, graduated from SUNY Cortland and taught third grade on Long Island.  As one of her best friends so aptly commented, “Marilyn had a long and fruitful life and gracefully touched everybody she came in contact with.”

Marilyn was a member of the Coveleigh Club in Rye for over 30 years and enjoyed tennis and lawn bowling. She also liked playing golf with The Niners at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester. As a member of the Yonkers Chorale Society, Marilyn brought joy to many by singing and playing the piano. Marilyn was a long time member of The United Methodist Church in Mamaroneck.

As anybody who knew her could attest, Marilyn’s family was the nucleus of her life.  She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Thomas C. Beneventano and the loving mother of Thomas M. (Patricia) Beneventano of Katonah, NY. Marilyn was the devoted grandmother of Philip, Thomas, Raymond and Daniel Beneventano.

Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday morning at Clark Associates Funeral Home at 9:15am. Interment will follow at St Johns Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund in Wellesley Hills, MA.
