Cousin John, Stevie and I were the three musketeers from our Florida's family first visit to Mom's New York family. We did a lot of fun things together on my family's visits. I had a lot of minor accidents with the boys during those years. Once when we were playing stickball in the brownstone hallway, while i was catching, Stevie pitching, John swung the bat and hit me just above my right eye. Still have the scar in my eyebrow. Another time, we were sitting on the backend of a old coupe (in those days, cars had a metal bumper that protruded out from the car body). We were messing around and I slid off and ended up between the car body and the bumper with a large slit in my stomach. Aunt Kate, Johnny's mom, patched me up. Lots of fond memories of our times together. When I moved to N.Y. at 20 yrs old, once again, the three of us were inseparable, going to night clubs together and just having great times together. Too bad most of our lives were spent 1000 miles apart but I will cherish those memories forever. Donna Echeverria Battard
