Obituary of Robert Harry Habl

Professor Robert H. Habl, Esq., "Bob" 83, formerly of Bedford, NY. passed away peacefully, on December 12, 2019, at his daughters home in Vero Beach, FL. Robert was born January 6, 1936, the beloved child of Kathryn and Rudolph Habl of New York City. Robert was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School. He attended undergrad at St. Johns University and received both his Juris Doctorate and LLM in Taxation from NYU. Robert was a life-long Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School where he taught generations of legal scholars in the areas of Contracts, Property and Insurance Law. Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret Sirot- Habl, his sons Robert R. Habl and Kris J. Habl and his daughter Nicole K. Habl and his 3 grandchildren, Ava, Hartley and Lily. Robert was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret D. Habl. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 beginning at 1:30 at Middle Patent Cemetery, located at 6 Bedford Banksville Rd., Bedford, NY 10506. A reception will follow at The Beehive Restaurant, 30 Old Route 22, Armonk NY 10504 from 3-6pm.
