Obituary of Erica McCauley

McCauley, Erica, formerly of Hicksville, NY, died Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Salem Hills Nursing Home in North Salem, NY. She was 97. Erica was born on May 22, 1922 in Trosberg, Germany and immigrated to NY when she was 6 years old with her parents Arthur and Anna Thiele, now both deceased. After high school she worked at Van Nostrand & Company where she met her future husband John A. McCauley. They were married for 52 years until John’s death in 2003. Erica is the beloved mother of her three sons Robert (Carmela), John (Adriane), and Richard (Allison). She is grandmother of eight (Michael, Christopher, Brian, Julie, Alyssa, Brendan, Tara and Susan) and great-grandmother of three (Desmond, Delilah and Deegan). Due to current quarantine rules, there will be no wake or funeral service. Burial will be on April 25th at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY, to be attended by immediate family only.
