Obituary of Maureen Huggard
Huggard, Maureen Patricia, 56, of North Salem, on April 12, from an EGFR lung cancer.
Enduringly beautiful akin to a luminescent summer solstice, her eyes had a unique quality that could light up a room or remove the light from it. Master gardener, avid hiker, vigorous supporter of children’s, animal welfare, and progressive causes, champion of the undersung, longtime senior consultant at Willis Towers Watson and antecedents Towers Watson and Towers Perrin, her blunt honesty, instinctive generosity, and ability to cut through the fat fostered introspection, effectiveness and results, making better those whose lives she touched, often inspiring spontaneous, deep, lasting friendships.
Survived by her husband of 16 years, Bob McGee, stepdaughter Raena and her two children, and siblings Mary Mirantz (Michael), and brothers Edward (Renee), Luke (Laurie), and Michael (Cindy) Huggard, as well as ten nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles, cousins and their children in the Huggard and Connolly families.
A memorial will be held later; contributions in her memory can be sent to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, 155 E 55 St., 6H, NY 10022, or to their website, lcrf.org.
