Ken and I were tennis compatriots in our teens and frequently practiced together. I’d routinely, almost daily, visit their house in North Salem to pick him up and provide transportation to a particular tennis club. On each occasion I’d engage in conversation with his mother as she would keep me occupied as I waited for Ken to get ready; he would usually be running a little behind schedule. ;) Lengthier discussions would transpire at the dinner table when I’d stay over for the night. She was one of the few genuine people I ever had the privilege meeting and it’s with a heavy heart that this personal tribute is composed. Mrs Katz could light up a room with her ubiquitous smile, and I’ll always remember her infectious laugh. She had a great heart and will be truly missed. My sincere condolences go out to my longtime friend Ken and his family.

I have fond memories of visiting with Aunt Judi, Uncle Bobby and Ken at the lake and family gatherings. Recently I had the pleasure of speaking with Aunt Judi. She was very intelligent and well spoken. A strong woman with a good sense of humor who was not afraid to speak her mind even if it ruffled some feathers. I will remember and miss her. She is now in heaven with Uncle Bobby together again. May GOD Bless her. Prayers for Blessings and healing for Ken and the family. Much Love.

Judy! One had to appreciate her intelligence, quick wit, and love of classical music. Her command of the English language was unmatched, and her humor and perspective were always refreshing. For 45 years we nurtured a friendship in North Salem and from a distance. My lunches with Judy were always delightfully entertaining; a mainstay of my visits back home. Even during our last conversations, I had to be alert as she would always try to blindside me with a witty reflection. Judy truly loved her family and had a heartfelt appreciation of their support during her final months. She spoke of them often. Ken, of course, was the center of her universe. Judy and I would often speak of our sons growing up in North Salem and how mothers can sometimes drive them crazy! Two strong willed and independent women. A challenge, but then it builds character. My memories leave me laughing. Judy, Judy, Judy — you will be missed!
My deepest sympathies and condolences to Ken and his family. I loved your Mom!
Debbie
