Obituary of John Joseph Moore

Moore, John Joseph, 73 of Bridgeport, CT formerly of South Salem, NY. John spent many years as a coach of various North End Little League teams in Bridgeport, CT. He also assisted with the Club Scouts going on many campouts. John was employed with Clairol for 40 years (both under Bristol – Myers Squib Company and P&G) He received a Certificate of Appreciation for displaying Safe Behavior by working 5 years without a recordable safety incident from November 15, 2001 through November 15, 2006. He worked as an inspector for packaging lines, an appliance inspector, a warehouse and returns auditor, a finished goods analyst, a raw material analyst and in 1993 received the Quality Assurance Technician of the Year Award. He is survived by his wife Janet Grabowski, his sons Christopher T. (Lorena), David M. (Judy) and John W. (Tammy) Moore. He is the brother of Marie (Bill) Blaney, Margaret (Richard) Borman, Wesley (Arlene), Paul (Nancy), Robert (Evelyn) and Ronald (Kathryn) Moore and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Bruce and Gertrude Moore and his brother Allen B. Moore His family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 13th at 11:30am Interment will follow at Reynolds Cemetery, Route 35, Cross River. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of one’s own choice. John’s family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of Bridgeport Hospital for their excellent care.
