Since the first day I shook his hand, Mr. Scotti has always made me feel welcomed into his amazing family. For the past 5 years I was fortunate enough to share in conversation to hear great stories about trips to Italy, great times with his family and reflections on shared experiences. One of the greatest memories I will ever have is the first time he took Alyssa and I out to dinner. Alyssa, her Nonna, Grandpa and I shared many laughs and stories that night. He always would put his family first, all while being the life of the party with his contagious laugh and always making conversation with everyone. Mr. Scotti you will be deeply missed by everyone you have come to know, but the love of your family from your teachings will always remain strong.

Ever since my first introduction to the Scotti family, I have had many fond memories. They are family to us, and they have always been great neighbors and friends throughout the years. Situations like these are never easy, but we know that we serve a mighty God, and he will bring comfort and peace. One of my favorite memories of Frank is how he always knew when he saw me that I would be asking for his mom. He would beat me to it and he would tell her to come outside so I could say hello to her. She didn’t understand much English, but somehow we communicated very well. One occasion she took a trip to California, and made her way to universal studios. She could not stop talking about the scary gorilla on the tram ride. Frank and I always laughed about that. The way she told the story in her broken English made us laugh. Frank was a man that would do anything for anybody, and wore his heart on his sleeve. He loved his family very much, us included. Take time to reflect, mourn, grieve in your own way and just know you can put a smile on your face because he is in Heaven. We had that conversation and I have no doubts. Love to all! May God bless you. Seek a relationship with your Heavenly Father so you can one day share the kingdom.

My family is grieving the loss of my grandfather and we feel his absence sharply. But we know that he is no longer in pain and is now in a place that is more amazing then the best possible day here on earth.
You were more than just my Grandpa, you were the best male role model in my life, and you showed me a love like no other. I’m beyond blessed to be part of this amazing family that you created. You have the biggest heart in the world and as you all know my know my grandfather would give his shirt off his back if you needed help.
Even these past two years as your fought your battle with cancer you were beyond strong. You showed us all a strength like no other.
Grandpa, I still can’t believe you are gone. I spent the last few hours looking through the thousands of photos my mother took, there you were smiling. You were always smiling. Always laughing. Always happy.
That’s how I will remember you.
We are all grieving the loss of you- the most amazing man. A devoted husband, a deeply loved and respected father, and an adored grandfather or as everyone but me calls you “PopPop”. The world seems a little less vibrant without you in it, Grandpa.
But thankfully this isn’t our final goodbye.
Thankfully, we share the same faith that this isn’t the end. I know we will see you again someday. Someday, you and Nonna will hold each other close and loudly disagree about something. Someday you will give Nonna a chunk of cash and watch her throw it into one machine at the casino and shrug your shoulders because you knew it made her happy. Someday, I will see your smiling face again, and I will hear your big belly laugh and I will feel your tight bear hug squeeze again. I know it.
Until then we will wrap Nonna in all the love and comfort that you have provided her for the 58 years that you were married. We will continue to look at photos and remember the amazing times we had with you. Especially when you took all 12 of us on the cruise to Bermuda. We will keep your memory alive and never, ever forget you.
Hug your parents up there. Have fun hunting all the turkeys and drinking all the wine and beer and know that one day when I join you up there we can go for walks and stop at carvel along the way. I love you so much and I will miss you everyday.
Until we met again.
