Connie came to Delray to enjoy the winter months and I can remember her as a kind and loving person with everyone she encounter. Her smiling face was contagious, giving you a sense of comfort to be around her. To Charles and her kids C.J., Barry, Kathleen, Joseph, Bonnie and Connie-Lou, and all family and friends; please accept our condolences. Connie will be greatly missed by all of us. The obit neglects to include that in addition to opening her home to family and friends this remarkable woman also did the same for ALL the kids in the neighborhood when we were growing up on Fourth Street in Garden City. Whenever I ran over to the Bocklet's big brick home and knocked on the door looking for C.J. or Barry or Joe or Kathy she always let me in! And usually fed me a snack or offered me a cold drink or even had me stay for lunch or dinner. No kidding. Which is all the more remarkable to me today (as a parent myself) when I consider that she had six kids (and a few dogs) of her own to take care of, and yet she seemingly had a steadfast smile on her face and a kind word or funny comment that made my day a bit better. And the fact that all these decades later I can recount this memory is proof of "Mrs. B's" indomitable spirit that touched the lives of so many people, me included. Past, present and forever. God bless the Bocklet family.
Peace,
William Cope Moyers
