I will always remember Christine and the fun family holidays we shared. My favorite activity with Christine was looking at Christmas cards sent to her brother Vinnie and my cousin Michelle. We liked poking fun at the outfits the children had on in their Christmas picture! I will miss her great sense of humor. Rest In Peace Sweet Lady

“Friend” is too common a word for such a special person. Christine loved life. Her laughter could fill a room and came from deep within her huge heart. Her love of her family, friends and students was boundless, unwavering and passionate. That love and kindness was a blessing to all who were lucky enough to share a part of her journey through life. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten! My thoughts and prayers are with all who loved her

I have known Christine since childhood. She was always in a happy, cheerful mood. She was great with her one liners and I loved her sense of humor. I was so happy to find out that she and Gary moved to my town of Somers. We were excited talking about getting a few close friends together this summer. I will always remember the excitement in her voice as we talked about it. You never forget your childhood friends. We always had a bond despite not seeing each other as often as we would have liked to. She will always have a special place in my heart. May she rest in peace and look over her family members. Christine will be missed by all. I am thankful to have had her in my life.
Much love,
Antoinette Boncardo

To the Antonecchia Family. Liz Matzko shared the tragic news through our mutual friend and another college roommate Melanie Yaskulka. I am so very sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Chrissy during our days as college roommates at UHA. You are in my prayers. Eunice Browne UHA '86.
I posted the following on my FB page as a tribute to Chris. Feel free to use any photos if you are making collages.
I lost an important piece of my college experience this week. Though I had not seen her or spoken to her since we left the University of Hartford campus 35 years ago, Chris Antonecchia was my friend, roommate, confidante and partner in crime for 3 years. We lived together, laughed together, cried together, experienced the ups and downs of being college students and shared our space day in and day out for 3 years. We shared the best time of our lives as carefree college students with the promise of our whole lives ahead of us.
Chrissy I am happy to learn that you found love in a wonderful husband, found a rewarding teaching career and enjoyed a well lived, happy and fulfilling life. My heart aches for your family, and friends far closer then I am. I mourn their loss and I mourn my loss of an important piece of a pivotal time in my life.
My lasting memory of you is your penchant for hating lights left on when someone left the room. I often think of your favorite phrase whenever someone left the lights on - "What are we? Partners with Con Ed?" I promise I will think of you when I turn out the lights from now on. Rest easy Chrissy.

I worked with Ms. Amanna this past year and we were right across the hall from one another. She was always looking out for me and had the best advice. I will miss our chats and her friendly and welcoming presence in the school. She was just comforting me for the loss of my father…so saddened by her loss only a few months later. A beautiful life gone too soon. Praying for the strength of her family to get through this. Will miss you Ms. Amanna… —Anna K.

I had the honor and pleasure to be Christine's friend and teacher/partner for many years. Together we helped our students to cook and enjoy Thanksgiving feasts, as well as trips to the zoo farm and apple orchards. Often Gary and Barbara would join us. Christine gave her knowledge, kindness, patience and love to Her students who will be better people for having been blessed with Christine as their teacher. Family was of the highest priority. She loved to share news about Gary, her parents , brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece. I am lucky that she was my friend and will miss her. Leslie Liss
