Obituary of Helen A. Edwards

       Helen A. Edwards, 87, of Somers, NY, died on June 29, 2021 at Northern Westchester Hospital.

       Helen was born on August 30, 1933 in the Bronx, NY to the late Anthony and Agnes Fernando. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Jerome and her sister, Doris Hoffman.

      Helen is survived by her three daughters: Susan Underwood, Herriman, Utah; Eileen Edwards, Carmel, NY; and Carolyn Nesbitt, North Salem, NY. Loving grandmother of Emily Dorsch, Karen Gilbert and Matthew and Daniel Nesbitt. Cherished great grandmother of Quinn, Norah and Amelia.

        Helen’s first job was as a fashion buyer for Peck & Peck Co. in NYC. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Pace University, Helen worked as a travel agent for over 20 years. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed tennis and painting in her spare time.

       The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 6th from 4:00 - 8:00pm  at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 7th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Somers, NY.
