Obituary of Arlene M. Siemers

Arlene Siemers, 93, of Somers, NY died peacefully at The Greens at Cannondale in Wilton, CT where she has been a resident for the past 5 years. Her final days were spent with her beloved family members.  

Arlene was born on July 26, 1928, in North Elmsford, NY to the late Jay and Bertha (Springsteel) Mosher Sr.

She was a graduate from Berkeley College Secretarial School in White Plains, NY. Arlene was elected Queen, Order of the Eastern Star (a masonic appendant body open to both men and women). 

She was also the head bookkeeper for Scarsdale Medical Center, Siemers Wine and Spirits and Mosher Construction as well as a public notary.

She was a well-known and esteemed bridge player all the way from Westchester, NY, Connecticut to Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Arlene was very active and known for her talents as a skier, sailor and tap dancer and was an avid hiker as well. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Katonah.

Arlene will be remembered for her hard-working spirit and her kind heart.  

Arlene is the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Siemers and the loving Mother of Robert C. Siemers of Bedford, NY.

She is the dedicated grandmother of Jason Siemers, Megan Siemers Livingston and Erin Comito. Arlene was blessed with 5 great grandchildren; Evan, Emma, Kiera, Jacqueline and James.

Arlene is the sister of the late Jay Mosher Jr. She was Aunt to Jeffrey Mosher of Richmond, VA, Jean White of Katonah, NY, Joyce and Charles Siemers of Katonah, NY and Caroline Siemers of Valatie, NY. Arlene was a great aunt to Gregory, Sarah and David.

Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, from 3 - 7PM.

Her funeral service will be held at Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Ave, Valhalla, NY on Thursday September 16, 2021, at 2:00PM.
