Obituary of Eileen Hayes

Quinn, Eileen Hayes, 86 of Heritage Hills, in Somers, NY, passed away January 19th 2016, at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco NY. Her Son and Daughter were by her side. Eileen was born April 26th, 1929 in the Bronx to the late Michael Sr. and Mary (Ross) Hayes. Her father, Michael Sr. was one of the great New York City trial lawyers of his time. Eileen was a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel in White Plains NY where she received a degree in Education. She later became the assistant to the Director of WARC in Mt. Kisco, NY working there until her retirement in1986. She enjoyed spending her retirement years traveling with her husband John, seeing Broadway shows and dining out. She was an avid member of the Heritage Hills Golf Association for over 15 Years. Eileen will be best remembered for her sense of humor, strong spirit and devotion to her family. Eileen is survived by her beloved husband John Patrick Quinn, her son Kevin Carroll of Kew Gardens, NY daughter Moira Bontempi (John),of Basking Ridge, NJ, her grandchildren Gabrielle and Zachary,and her step daughter and son Laura and Richard Quinn. Eileen was the sister of the late Michael A.Hayes Jr, of Trumbull, CT and is also survived by her sister-in-law Sheila Hayes, nieces Laura Hayes Morgan, Alison Hayes Palsho and Susannah Hayes Jones. Friends and Family may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woodbridge Rd., Katonah, NY on Monday January 25 from 3 to 6PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, 95 Plum Brook Rd. Somers, NY on Tuesday January 26th at 10:AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.
