Obituary of Frances Rida

Rida, Frances, ”Grandma Rida” 96, of Somers Manor formerly of Mt Vernon, NY, , died on July 18th. Frances was born in Bronx, NY, April 27, 1920 to Octavio and Madeline Trippodo. Frances, wife of the late John Rida, is survived by one daughter: Helga Stanton (Robert, Sr) of Lincolndale, NY; she is the grandmother of Corinne Stanton; Robert Stanton; Jr.(Katie) , Janine Stanton-Lamb (Rick), Rick Stanton (Nicole), Great Grandmother of Diana; Mikey; Ricky; Rachel; Chloe; Lila; Bobby III; Andi. She is the sister of Thomas Trippodo and Regina Spruck and was predeceased by Serafina, Angelina, John, Philip, Joseph, Peter and Octavio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Grandma Rida was best known for her sense of humor, generosity and kindness to others. She loved to make “yarn dolls” which she freely gave out to all that she loved. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 21st at 11:30 am at St. Joseph’s RC Church,95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY 10589. Interment will follow at Ivandell Cemetery, Route 202, Somers, NY 10589.
