I just learned of Mike's passing and wanted to write a small note to extend my condolences to the family. Mike was so generous and caring with the entire Cassetta family after our dad's untimely passing back in 1980, and my mother was ever grateful for his kindness in maintaining our cars running smoothly so we could get to school and work. I remember fun times at Mike and Judy's homestead on Yerkes Rd. when I would visit for meals, movies and study nights with Deborah. Though I've not been back in NY for some years, Mike will always be well-remembered for his vitality, willingness to lend a hand to those in need and for his many years of service in the community.

My sincerest condolences to the Mongiello family. I was lucky enough to work at Cross River Demon Shell from 1980-1987 through high school and college and after and remain close friends ever since. I learned from Mike Sr priceless lessons about work, cars, running a business, friends and family. I will miss him and always remember him. (I wish I had a cell phone with camera back in the 80’s when at Shell…there’d be some great memorable photos..they’re in my head :-) Dan Jacobius
