Obituary of Marie Ciaiola

Marie Ciaiola, 95, passed away on June 5, 2022 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was a proud New Yorker born May 8, 1927. She had an illustrious career she enjoyed with the New York Board of Education and made many friends in her long career.

Marie loved to explore new cuisines and travel the world. She enjoyed learning about people's culture and their language. She spoke English, Italian, French, Spanish and a little German. Marie also loved animals and is survived by her best fur friends Sophie and Max. Marie's fascination with animals lead her to volunteer at The Bronx Zoo for many years. Marie enjoyed meeting new people in her career, travels and volunteering. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 15th at 10am at  St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Rd, Somers NY 10589. Immediately following the Mass, her entombment will be at Ferncliff Mausoleum located at 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale NY 10530. Marie will to join her dear family: Father, Miguel Ciaiola, Mother, Elisa Ciaiola, Brother, Ralph Ciaiola and Sister, Annie Edwards.
