Obituary of Edward Scarsella

Scarsella, Edward, “Ed”, 83, of Goldens Bridge, NY, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his home.. Edward was born on September 26, 1932 in Casamari, Italy to the late Joseph and Nancy Scarsella. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 8 and settled in Katonah, NY. Ed was a graduate of Morrisville College receiving his AA in Food Science. He worked for General Foods Corporation in Tarrytown for 32 years. He was very active in the Boys and Girls Club in Mt. Kisco and The Bedford Hills Little League. Edward is the beloved husband of Marie (nee DeCunzo) Scarsella. Loving father of Michael (Andrea) and the late Joseph (Lisa) Scarsella. Devoted grandfather of Samantha, Jameson and Sophia. Dear brother of Viola Perucci and the late Ida Genovesi and Mafalda Palmerini. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 3rd at 10am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY 10589. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Mt. Kisco, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to either the Visiting Nurse Association of Hudson Valley or Hospice Care of Westchester & Putnam, both located at: 540 White Plains Road, Suite 300, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
