Obituary of Barbara J. Coletti

Barbara J. Coletti, a 56-year resident of the Town of Bedford, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 20, following a long illness. She was the loving daughter of Patrick and Anna Spinola of Peekskill, NY, wife of Peter Coletti and mother to Dorene.

She and her beloved husband, Peter, were married for 43 years and proudly resided in the quaint hamlet of Katonah. They shared a passion for golf and made Knollwood Country Club their second home. She actively participated in the various tournaments over the decades with her many dear friends and enjoyed hosting the annual Ladies Holiday Luncheon. 

A graduate of Peekskill High School and the Katherine Gibbs School, Mrs. Coletti enjoyed a highly successful business career, marked by an unparalleled work ethic. She served in various management roles at Verizon, having perfect attendance for 28 years until she retired. She then embarked on a second career at IBM Corporation for over 10 years. 

Mrs. Coletti will be remembered for her abundantly kind and loving nature and vivacious spirit. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and most of all, sharing her treats with everyone she loved, including the many merchants of Katonah.

Mrs. Coletti is survived by her loving daughter Dorene Coletti Alleva and son-in-law Thomas Alleva; sister Patricia and brother-in-law Rudy Kohler; brother Joseph Spinola; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home in Katonah, NY on Monday, July 25 from 4-8 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Katonah, NY on Tuesday, July 26 at 10 AM.
