Obituary of Lawrence W. Gallagher III
Lawrence, “Larry” Gallagher, 86, of Bedford, NY, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022.
Larry was born in Ohio in 1936 and grew up in Eastchester, NY. He was a graduate of Archbishop Stepinac High School, class of 1955 and Ohio University.
In 1968, Larry moved to Bedford where he and his beloved wife of 59 years, Rosemary, raised their family in the town he loved. Larry was a faithful parishioner of Saint Patrick’s Church in Bedford, NY for over 50 years.
An avid car enthusiast and bike rider, he started his own car business, Bedford Center Motors, which he ran for over 40 years until he retired. Larry was a walking classic car encyclopedia and enjoyed sharing his extensive knowledge with his family and fellow enthusiasts. Larry’s favorite things to do were going to car shows with his family and spending time with his wife.
His greatest joy was his family, and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his 4 children Carolyn, Larry, Paul (Joyce) and Peter (Lorraine) and his 8 grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Andrew, Elena, Julia, Ian, Katrina, and Molly.
His love for his family was immeasurable and he was very proud of his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
His family will receive friends on Friday, November 11th from 2-4 and 7 - 9pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 12th at 10:00 am at St. Patricks RC Church,7 Pound Ridge Road, Bedford, NY 10506.
Interment will follow at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY
