Obituary of Joseph C.

Tomei, Joseph C., of Bedford Village, NY, died on March 25th, 2016. He was born on Sept 27, 1930 in The Bronx to Calcedonia and Irene Tomei. On June 12, 1954, he married the love of his life Evelyn Tomei, in Brooklyn, NY. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grand grandfather. He loved his family and friends immensely. His personal faith in God was evident in the life he lived and how he conducted his business affairs. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Joe was the former President of Calcedo Construction Corp which he founded in January 1968. He was a pilot and loved to fly and was an avid tennis player, skier and golfer and he enjoyed all of them with his family. Along with his wife of 61 years, the late Evelyn who passed away on February 27, 2016, Joe is survived by his three children: Joseph M. Tomei and his wife Lisa Tomei of North Salem, NY; Diane Zarlengo and her husband Gary Zarlengo of Centereach, NY; Carla Bonsignore and her husband Martin Bonsignore of Hawthorne NY; Joe is the brother of Lillian Garzilli of Port Chester, NY and Anna Bruschini and her husband, Ronald of Trenton, NJ. and he is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Stephanie and her husband Joel, Jaime, Stephen and his wife Anna, Cristie, Joey, Lea, and Matthew and two great grandchildren: Noel and Evie Joy. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29th from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 30th at 11:30am at The Bedford Community Church, 160 Bedford Center Road, Bedford Hills, N.Y. 10507 (914)666-5384. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY 10530. Memorial donations in memory of Joseph C.
