Obituary of Vincent Lugo

On Monday, March 13, 2023, Vincent Lugo, son of William and Maryjean Lugo, passed from a severe asthma attack complicated by Covid.  

Vincent moved to Somers in 2012 and attended Somers Middle School, and graduated Somers High School in 2018.  He enjoyed many things including helping with stage crew for the drama club at the Somers High School, playing guitar and playing drums in school performances.  His passion was music from an early age and worked with a promotion agency for his co-op program in 12th grade.

Though he played drums, sometimes vocals, in a band, he enjoyed a solo project where he created his music, played instruments, and wrote his own lyrics. He had begun collaborating with others. He was a fan of hard core, death metal and supported many bands by attending shows, where he was well received and befriended.  He will be missed by their community.

He will be missed wholeheartedly by family and friends.  We pray he is at peace, surrounded by  his beloved cats.   We know he is doing what he enjoyed most - spreading happiness, rocking out and changing the face of music in the afterlife.
