Obituary of Lisa Lena Bueti Whalen

Lisa Lena Bueti Whalen, 65, of Bedford Hills, NY, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 19, 2023.

Lisa was born on July 12, 1957, in Mount Kisco, NY, to William and Rachel (Capitini) Lena. She was a 1975 graduate of Fox Lane High School. Lisa worked for the Bedford Central School District for over 25 years, retiring in 2017 as the Secretary to the Principal at Mount Kisco Elementary School.

On October 31, 2003, Lisa married Scott Whalen of Katonah, NY. During their marriage of almost 20 years, Lisa and Scott enjoyed gardening, taking care of their home, and caring for their children and grandchildren.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Scott Whalen, her daughters Krista Leiriao (Jorge) and Amanda Farrell (Patrick); her stepsons John Whalen (Allie) and Joseph Whalen. She is the devoted Yaya of her grandchildren Anabelle, Mason, Danny, Mia and Reese. She is also survived by her siblings Shelly Lena, Anna Speno, Bobby Lena (Ann) and Michael Lena, and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Lisa was predeceased by her parents and her brothers Billy Lena and Victor Lena.

Her family will receive friends from 3 to 7pm on Friday, March 24, at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

Interment will be private.
