Obituary of Mario L. Chiacchia

Chiacchia, Mario L. of Katonah, NY died on Monday March 28, 2016 at Northern Westchester Hospital. Born on September 19, 1937 in Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt., Kisco, he was the son of William & Anna Chiacchia. Mario was a graduate of Bedford Hills High School in 1955, following which he joined the US Army and served in Germany for 2 ½ years. He was the owner operator of Haines Road Service Center in Bedford Hills, for 50 ½ years and was a member of the Service Station Owners Association. He loved, gardening, boating, and all things mechanical. Mario is survived by Vera Cook, his children, Mario (Chip) Jr. (Linda), Robert, Carol (Bob) Dreska and Christina. He was a devoted grandfather of Russell, Gregory, Michael, Brittany, Brandon, Bobby Jr., Anthony, as well as 4 great grandchildren. Mario is the brother of Santino (Dolores), Rosemarie (Richard) Pochintesta , Sophie Diamond, and was predeceased by brother William who was married to Patricia. As well as many, many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2nd at 10:00 am at St. Mary Of The Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY 10536. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Lexington Avenue, Mount Kisco. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice.
