Learning of Andy's passing comes as quick a shock. My sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in eternal peace.
Andy and I go way, way back as kids on 196th street. He lived directly across the street from me. We went to the same grammar school, had the best groups of friends and I remember his white corvette that he was always washing and waxing.
Of course after high school, everyone went their own separate ways but in 2000, I bumped into him at The Raddison in New Rochelle where I got married. He turned around and said "Janet, is that you?" and we chatted for a few minutes. I never saw him again but the memories of growing up on 196th street will always be remembered and cherish.
Andy, you're with your best bud, Albert and Richard too... 3 guys from 196th street passing within the year.... thanks for the memories guys. RIP

I met Andy when I met my husband Lou over 30 years ago. They had already been good friends for 30 years before that- since 3rd grade! That kind of loyal friendship is very rare and so very special and defines Andy. Always a wonderful friend. True friends are rare and his friendship was a gift we will always treasure.

I am so sad to hear this news. I have only met Andy a few times as I am new to the neighborhood, but he had the gift of gab and a demeanor that made you want to meet again and again. Pat, my sincerest condolences to you and yours. One thing he said last time I saw him was , “Pat is my girl. She’s still a looker”. Rest in peace Andy.

Andy and Pattie have been our close friends for decades and we love them dearly. It seems like yesterday that Andy, Pattie, and Rich spoke about our moving to Armonk and buying a house built by Pattie’s brother.
The memories were endless —from visiting with Pattie and Andy as they worked on their Armonk home with her dad, watching them make their wedding vows, sharing many delicious dinners in our homes that frequently lasted till the wee morning hours, and spending many a New Year’s Eve at the Blue Dolphin.
It was very obvious that Andy and Pattie had a strong love for each other and for life. They met life’s challenges head on and were fearless.
Andy’s passing has been a shock to us all—but we will always remember his winning smile and personality, his love for Pattie, family and friends, his enthusiasm for life (and his cars and his home!) He has taught us all many life lessons. We will surely miss him—and he will always be with us.
Love,
Joan and Rich Nardi

Sending sincere sympathy to you Patty and the Tedaldi family. Andy was one of the nicest and most generous people I have ever known. We met in 1991 developing T-Shirts for Polo RL. You were so proud to work with us and you never stopped. Dinners and lunches all ended up talking about business and Patty, your two loves. I will miss you Andy and will never forget you. Your smile will always remain embedded in my mind when I hear your name. Rest in Peace Buddy. David Uricoli

Dearest Pattie,
Our hearts and thoughts are with you and your beloved Andy today and every day. We quite simply adore you Pattie, and we loved Andy so much, we cannot believe he is gone so suddenly. We cannot wrap our minds and hearts around this tragic loss of this beautiful and vibrant man. We feel like we've been lifelong friends and so blessed to have met you and Andy! And yet it has been less than a year ago that we met you both, and Barbara & Richard, and Ashley & Brooks, in Germany.
Andy Embraced Life and You were the Center of his World. We know how important you were to each other, and because of that, Andy leaves a rich Legacy of Love and Inspiration. Andy was so generous and down to earth, so genuine and charming, he was a true friend and shared his enthusiasm for life with everyone he met.
We feel so fortunate that we were able to be with you and Andy on June 24th. Thank goodness we had this opportunity to be together in New York. What a fantastic restaurant and such an amazing dinner we had at Il Melograno! Lino & Gregory are such dear people and gracious hosts - we were so glad to finally meet them! It meant the world to us that we could introduce you all to our son MacLean and his girlfriend Aliya. How fortunate for MacLean to meet you and Andy, and for us to be together before Andy passed.
Pattie, you are such a beautiful and amazing woman and I know Andy loved you as the center of his life! He championed you and he loved you so fiercely! We have Faith in God's love for you and dear Andy, and Andy's devotion to you and yours to him. We wish we could be there in person to attend the Mass and Wake for Andy. Please know you are in our hearts and prayers always. Sending you all so much love ❤️. Jenny & Don and the Hartford family
PS. Per your request, In lieu of flowers, we will be planting so many trees for Andy, it will be a blooming forest! Andy will be in our thoughts and prayers, and you will continue to be close to our hearts.

Andy
It’s been a while, but just wanted you to know I think about you often.
I think about the time we met in college just by chance, in a rainstorm, both trying to stay dry under a porch of one of the buildings on campus.
That was just one of life’s random events, but ours became a great friendship.
Andy, I just want you to know that I have always cherished and loved you and our friendship.
Yes, life threw us a curveball later on, but we also navigated through it with respect for each other and our friendship.
I totally get the position life put you in, and I want you to know I still loved you through it all.
My biggest fear was that I had disappointed or changed your feelings for me, and our friendship.
I had a really meaningful, and of course highly emotional, conversation with Pattie two days ago, and she reassured me that you still talked of me and that you always loved me as your longtime friend, no matter who interfered.
Andy, you are gone now from our place here, but you can never be truly gone, nor can anyone or anything take my memories of our friendship. I always looked forward to seeing you every single time we were together, either at a dinner party or vacation or just grabbing a coffee at school.
You were a “once in a lifetime friend” and I was honored to call you that.
And your lovely and most devoted wife, Pattie, is a remarkable person and also a longtime friend. As you know, I met her even before I met you.
Please know I will keep in touch with her, and she knows and will continue to know, I will be there for her in whatever she may need. I am a phone call away for her and will check in on her and visit as we can.
Now comes the hardest part, how to say goodbye, life and human nature’s most difficult task.
Andy, you are gone but memories and emotions never die if you cherish them and hold them in a special “vault of the heart”
My vault has you in it, and always will, it makes my heart a happier place.
Goodbye my friend, and may all the peace and tranquility of your next steps always keep that smile on your face and we all here will feel it always.
You left this world a better place than when you entered it, and we will continue to enjoy your impact.
Andy, I must say good bye my wonderful, amazing and whole heartedly cherished buddy and friend!
I know you are only one thought away, and know you made my life a sweeter journey with you in it.
Peace my man!
Love you always

Andy has been a true friend… one you don't meet often in life. His “joie de vivre” was contagious and inspiring. Thank you for the wonderful moments together, thank you for teaching us something every day… we will never forget you and we are sure that you will continue to be by our side every time we listen to a beautiful song of the ones we liked listening to together or we will sit around a table with a nice plate of pasta. Rest in peace beautiful soul… LINO & GREGORY

Arthur and I are going to miss you, our dear friend. You constantly had us laughing-no matter where we were. You could make any situation into a wonderful event. I’ve never met anyone who took so long to eat any meal! You savored every bite and morsel. You truly knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. Nothing stood in your way. I only wish I had been able to save you that day, or at least have one last big bear hug from you. My heart breaks at this sudden and shocking event. How are we all to go on without you? You had so many plans to carry out. I was so looking forward to sharing all of that with you and Pattie.
I promise to watch over her. You will be so missed and always loved and remembered. ♥️

A lovable teddy bear . Loyal , friendly to everyone .
I would make fun of him at work for printing out Every. Single . Email . The stacks got so high you’d have to move your chair to talk to him . I would tell him he’s responsible for the tree shortage . He’d reply how documentation is very important. He had a great sense of humor and I’ll miss him . My sincerest condolences to Patti . I hope you can find peace at this difficult time . darlene

We wll miss Andy tremendously-- his "think big and live large" philosophy influenced us all. Our thoughts are with Patti during this most difficult time. We will miss Andy having our back in business, being at Sanibel almost always, Nantucket and Newport trips, and countless other occasions together -- but Patti will miss him more, much more. It has been over 45 years since I met Andy at the Scoop in NYC and I immediately realized he was so supremely confident that he could converse with anyone- old, young, powerful, contemporary, etc. We spent many years together in four different companies and I never knew him to lie or cheat to enable him to succeed. He treated everyone with respect, regardless of their lot in life. The world will be a lesser place without you my friend, and we will miss you terribly.

My family and I had the privilege to meet Andy and Pattie in Germany during Pattie’s hospital stay. We all became fast friends and shared a lot of wonderful joyful memories during a difficult time. Andy’s amazing out going personality had us singing in an Italian restaurant, sneaking wine and cheese in the hospital and having the local cafe make what ever we wanted, just to name a few. His generosity, fearlessness and zest for life are just a few of the gifts that I have learned from Andy. For this I am forever grateful. When I think of Andy I think of him looking down cheering us on to live every moment to its fullest. Rest well my friend.

You did it your way….
