Obituary of Susanne Redman Wolfel

Wolfel, Susanne Redman, of South Salem, N. Y. died peacefully Thursday, January 28th at Northern Westchester Hospital. Susie was born August 15, 1958 in Hanover, N.H. to Dana Redman and Carolyn Gould Gepfert. After graduating from John Jay High School Susie attended Lynn University in Florida. Upon returning home she started her banking career at Dollar Dry Dock Bank in Katonah. She stayed with the bank throughout its many acquisitions eventually becoming Manager of Emigrant Savings Bank in Manhattan. Susie was an accomplished horseback rider, starting early in Pony Club, riding in many shows and events. She had many, many friends including those in her book group, “The Rainmakers”, that she was involved with for over 10 years. Susie was a wonderful and vibrant person who will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her mother Carolyn Gepfert of Jupiter, FL, her son, Cory, of Ridgefield, CT, sisters Marcia Houghton of Antrim, NH and Julie Redman of Atlanta, GA, her niece Morgan Houghton and her daughter Baileigh of NH, niece Amanda Nichols of Stamford, CT, nephew Eric Houghton of NH, nephews Travis Wolfel of Bath ME and Ry Wolfel of Burke, VT. The family will receive friends on Sat, Feb. 6th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY. The Funeral Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Ken Hamilton Caregivers Center @ Northern Westchester Hospital, 400 East Main St. Mt.
