Obituary of Alfred Schaeffler

Alfred J Schaefler “Al” of Pound Ridge died Monday July 10, 2023.

Al was the son of late Max and Julia Schaefler. He grew up in Scarsdale, NY. Al later served in the US National Guard.  Later, Al moved to Pound Ridge, NY where he lived for over 45 years.

Al Graduated New York University Law School.  Al was admitted to the New York Bar and practiced law for many years.  He was well known to those with whom he practiced for both his skill and personality. Al was known to many for his keen wit, great sense of humor and caring heart.

Al was the loving husband to the late Barbara Ann Schaefler (nee Perl) and is the beloved father of Marlene Eleck (nee Schaefler) of Pound Ridge, NY and Andrew Schaefler of Chicago, IL.  He is the devoted Grandfather of Devon and Tristan Eleck.  Al cherished his family and he was a great father to his children.

Al will be celebrated at Clark Associates Funeral Home 4 Woods Bridge Rd., Katonah NY on Friday July 14, 2023 at 2pm with internment to follow at Pound Ridge Cemetery.
