Obituary of Benedict S. Caterinicchio

Benedict S. Caterinicchio, more often called Ben or Doctor Cat, a resident of Mt. Kisco for 59 years dies Tuesday July 25, 2023, at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY after suffering a heart attack.

 

 Ben was born at home, on February 1, 1933, in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Salvatore and Mary Caterinicchio.

 

 Ben attended Johns Hopkins University and then New York Medical College earning his MD. After Serving in the Army as a Pediatrician at Ft. Carson, in Colorado, Ben and his wife Gladys settled in Mt. Kisco where he practiced medicine as a Pediatrician at the Mt. Kisco Medical Group for 40 years. During most of his practice with MKMG Ben was also an Associate Clinical Professor Pediatrics, New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, where he ran a weekly clinic.

 

   Ben is the beloved husband of Gladys (nee Cibeu) for 65 years. Ben also leaves behind a son Ben (MJ) of Irvine, CA, and a daughter Maria (Michael) Skrokov of Queens, NY. Ben was the proud Grandfather of 2, Ben III and Chris of Irvine Ca.

 

    Services will be held Clark Associates Funeral home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY, This Saturday 7/29/23. The family will be receiving visitors from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm with a remembrance and celebration of his life at 8 pm.
