Obituary of Bernard J. McGlinn, Jr.

   McGlinn, Bernard J., (Bing), of Katonah, NY, born May 15, 1937, formerly of Pelham died on  September 6, 2023 at Northern Westchester Hospital, Mt. Kisco, NY.

   Bing, the oldest of six children of the late Bernard and Helen McGlinn, was predeceased by his brother, Joseph and his sister, Margaret. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Dallow of Wilmington, North Carolina, Ann Comeau of Sarasota, Florida and his brother, Michael of New Canaan, Connecticut.

   Bing is the beloved husband of Jean (nee Carden) and the loving father of Bernard III and Megan both of New York City.

  Bing was a proud graduate of Providence College with a degree in Management and held an MBA from NYU. For 40 years, he dutifully ushered at the 10 o’clock Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bing served as an Army Captain in the 351st Psychological Warfare Company. The major part of his career was in HR at Burlington Industries in NYC.

   Bing will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends who enjoyed his company and his fabulous sense of humor. He was a major fan of the Providence Friars basketball team and the New York Yankees.

   Family and friends are invited to Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Friday, September 8, 2023 at St. Joseph RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY. The interment will follow at South Salem Cemetery, Spring Street, South Salem, NY.
