Obituary of Robert Lee Hacker

Robert Lee Hacker, 93, of Yorktown Heights, NY, passed away on Monday September 18, 2023, at Northern Westchester Hospital.  Bob was born February 4, 1930, in Ephrata PA to the late Lloyd Raymond Hacker and Florence Evelyn Loose.

Bob was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War.  He was a graduate of Valparaiso Technical Institute and Lancaster Theological Seminary.  He worked for RCA in Lancaster, PA for many years in R & D.  After graduating from seminary, Bob was called as an Assistant Minister of The Church in the Highlands, White Plains, NY.  More recently Bob was employed as a Special Systems Analyst for British Airways, retiring in 1999.

Bob is the beloved husband of Susan (nee DePaul) to whom he was married for 43 years.  He is the loving father of Kathi Niner (Tom) of Stevens, PA, and Beth Thompson (Jennifer) of Freeport, ME.  He was predeceased by his son Gary Lee Hacker (Christine) of Akron, PA.  He is the devoted grandfather of Dillon, Jean-Luc, and Brianna Gallic; Jordan (Ashley) and Alex (Caitlin) Southard and two great grandchildren Laila and Declan Southard.  Bob is also survived by in-laws George & Mary Ann Eggleston, as well as niece Lenore E. Herbst (Robert) and great nephews Cole and Grey.

Bob was a member of The First Congregational Church of Chappaqua, volunteered at The Community Center of Northern Westchester and enjoyed golf and bowling.
