Obituary: Roseanna Chiappinelli admin Chiappinelli, Roseanna, (Mitzi), 84, of Somers formerly of Katonah, NY, died on January 16, 2018 in Ft. Pierce, FL. Mitzi is the beloved wife of the late Albert Chiappinelli, Jr. and the daughter of the late Molly and John McQuade of Manhattan and Queens Village, NY. Mitzi is the loving mother of Lisa (Stuart) Sutherland, Andrew (Ann), John, Peter (Cheryl), and Brian (Kathryn) Chiappinelli cherished grandmother of Laura (Zarli) Fetterolf, Dianna Zarli, Emily, Jack, Matthew, Nicholas, Cara Rose, Jason and Ava Chiappinelli, great-grandmother of Rebecca and Micah. Mitzi leaves two brothers: James (Marie) McQuade and David (Joan) McQuade. Also survived by her dear in-laws: Frances and Raymond Brideau, Agnes and Donald Nelson and Donald and Barbara Chiappinelli. Mitzi, a 55 year resident of Katonah, was active in her community serving as President of Increase Miller P.T.A., Vice-President of the Town of Bedford Democratic Committee, a Trustee of the Katonah Village Library and was a member of the Women’s Civic Club of Katonah. She was also privileged to serve as a Lector at St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church in Bedford Hills and the Mission Church of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Katonah. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21st from 2:00 – 6:00pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, Katonah, NY. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 22nd at 10:00 am at St. Mary Of The Assumption Church, 55 Valley Road, Katonah, NY. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Lexington Avenue, Mount Kisco, NY 10549. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to: The Women’s Civic Club of Katonah, NY or the American Diabetes Association.
