She was my Grandma. I always admired that she could be so positive and kind even through the hardest times. I used to send her cards every Sunday to help fill her week with joy. She would always write back to me telling me how much I meant to her. We would play UNO together all the time. It was a great time.

Kathy was my coworker and my good friend and she was a great nurse and a loving friends. And I’ll always remember sleeping in the hospital during a winter snowstorm, that night we all started laughing and having a great time. The laughs that night with our other co-workers made the weekend so much more bearable. Nino sending us dinner working together, he was such a great cook. Someone once told those we love don’t just walk away but stand next to us. I always felt this of the ones I’ve loved and lost. Hopefully you will someday.

Kathy and I shared a special friendship for many years. She was a compassionate, impactful psychiatric nurse. It was during her professional nursing career that we met and eventually became friends. She was a very empathetic and caring person. She had a great sense of humor and we shared many laughs. I loved her frequent use of the saying, 'Not for nothing". Kathy was very proud of her family and loved them very much. She spoke lovingly of her Nino, Annmarie, Diane, her grandchildren and her brother, and others. She will remain in our hearts and she will be sorely missed. God Bless Kathy. Thank you Lord for the gift of her life. Amen.
