Dear Fusco Family,
I was saddened to hear of Viola's passing this week! I was so glad that I had the opportunity to visit with her at Aunt Nickie's 90th Birthday Celebration on July 1st.
I remember first meeting Viola and Mario, Sr. at my parent's house, when they came up for Louis's Graduation from ESF. Louis had given me a beautiful begonia plant before leaving Syracuse. Viola had told me that it was purchased at a school or church bazaar in about 1977, or so.
I still have Viola's and Lou's original plant. I have had this plant for 37 years and it is now about 41 years old! I have given cuttings for new plants to Viola, Louis & Ann Marie, Aunt Nickie, Paul, and many of my family members and friends from NY to Florida! It actually is blooming now! I will always remember Viola, as I tend to my favorite plant and remember the love she had for her family and friends.
