Obituary of Gloria Lobasso

Gloria J. Lobasso (nee Luciano) born on January 13, 1931 peacefully left us on May 12, 2022 to join her predeceased family and friends.  She was the beloved wife of Alfonso Lobasso (predeceased) and loving mother of Diane Bergendahl (Howard), Debra Ann Hulse (Wayne) and Steven Lobasso (Christine). She was an adored grandmother to Justin, Alexander, Austin, Hunter, Samantha, Jackson, Logan and Christian. 

Gloria was the youngest of ten children born to Matilda and Pasquale Luciano from Mount Vernon and affectionately known as Cookie. Cookie was the ultimate homemaker, extraordinary cook and baker.  Everyone will remember her homestyle Italian cooking, lovingly prepared for all family gatherings. She was a bowler, Girl Scout Leader, entrepreneur and long-time Guerlain employee.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 11:30am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers, NY.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Route 202, Somers, N.Y.
