A sweet uncle, a great cook, and an intelligent conversationalist. He and Aunt Martha, my mother's sister, are missed. ❤️

Never met a nicer man than Hans. He was inquisitive and interested in everything mechanical and construction related. He was always a true friend to our family and a great neighbor who routinely went above and beyond to help my Dad Jackson B. Hall in health and in sickness.

Hans was our neighbor who seemed to be part of our family. He was Dad's best friend (Jackson Hall) and frequently referred to as brother.. They very seldom missed their daily exercise walking around the block together, stopping to talk with neighbor's along the way. Often, as the two brothers struggled with health issues, Rosalee was there to help. A daily call to check out time for walk was part of the morning. In their walks, they would discuss any problem which need to be solved. If the lawn mower stopped working, a woodworking problem, whatever - the two best friends would solve it! They were old-school guys, they figured it out, not somebody else.. Hans stood beside Dad each day when he was very sick with tears in his eyes.. I hope the family will take comfort from knowing that the guys are together now. They are laughing and Dad, once again, tells Hans the same joke repeated a million times.

Shortly after his wife passed I saw Hans at a shoot. I mentioned that I was sorry for his loss and Hans immediately teared up a bit. To be able to see someones love for another in that form will stay with me forever.
I think that I can safely say that Hans was a grandfather figure to anyone that knew him in the field target community. We looked forward to him getting out of the passenger seat and the inevitable smile that followed after he saw his many friends coming to greet him.
I managed to find this picture of Hans from a July 13, 2016 shoot that he attended.
Hans will never be forgotten. He touched all of our lives.

I met Hans while beginning a hobby in Airgun field target. Hans was a very helpful mentor and a pleasure to share the competitive experience. Over the next decade I had that pleasure of sharing at a number of venues. I am fortunate to have had that opportunity and that Ray (&Rosalie) saw to it that Hans could participate. RIP
